Happy Hoolidays

November 16th, 2011

Happy Wednesday!  Today I want to share a card I made with the super fun Happy Hoolidays clear stamp set from The Craft’s Meow.  I just couldn’t resist those adorable owls and this one all tangled up in the lights is my fave!

I colored the scene with Copics and used the Colorless Blender to create some texture on the branch.  Each of the little lights was covered with different colors of Stickles and the ornament was covered with Glossy Accents.  The patterned paper is MME 12 Days of Christmas and I added some Chocolate Chip cardstock to ground and separate layers.  Finishing touches include some white pom pom trim, Doodlebug Bakers Twine in Bon Bon, Viva Decor Light Carmine Red Paper pen (similar to Liquid Pearls), a glittery jingle bell and some faux stitching.

I just gotta say – this card really makes me smile.  I hope you like it too!  Thanks for stopping by!

Merry Best

Happy Thursday!  Wow this week is just flying by!  Today I have a card to share for Karen’s sketch SSSC142.  This is such a great versatile sketch I almost couldn’t decide which way to go with it, but I have ssome new stamp sets from The Craft’s Meow that were just begging to get inky, so I chose one of those.

I just love the retro look of this new set The Merry Best!  I adapted the sketch slightly so I could accomodate that awesome big sentiment.  I used Chocolate Chip cardstock with papers from the Echo Park Holly Jolly 6×6 pad.  I used a Krylon silver leafing pen around the edges of several of the layers and finished off the design with some Frosted Lace Stickles and some hot pink Kaiser Craft rhinestones.  One more Christmas card for my growing stash!  WooHoo!

I’m off to have lunch with some wonderful ladies that I’m blessed to have as friends.  I hope you have a great day!  Thanks for stopping by.
