Happy Release Day and Happy Shopping at Taylored Expressions.  All of the new August products are now available in the TE Fresh Out of the Oven Department.  Once again I’m playing along with the Baker’s Dozen to show off all the new goodies.  We’ve each created a couple of new projects for you and I know you won’t want to miss a thing!
My first project today features the new full size stamp set Mark Your Spot (A collaboration between Taylor and Nancy for the Whimsical Wishes collection) and the coordinating Mark Your Spot Bookmark Taylored Die.  I’ve been wishing for a bookmark die for awhile now, so I’m really excited to have this cute one.  And the stamp set is loads of fun too!
First I die cut the boomark from TE Choice white cardstock and stamped various images from the stamp set.  I colored them with copics and then covered the entire bookmark with Versamark ink and kaleidescope embossing powder and heat embossed the entire thing.  It’s SUPER SPARKLY!  I’ve really been on a kick of doing this Faux Diamond Dust technique lately!  I don’t like the way the copic bleeds through and shows on the back of white cardstock, so I cut a 2nd bookmark from black cardstock and adhered the 2 together for a more finished look. I love how quick and easy it is to make bookmarks.  I actually have several more started on my stamp table right now.
My second project today features my new set *GRIN* illustrated by Doug for the Apple Doodle Ink collection, Happy Trails.
I’ve been wanting a notebook or journal to keep in our 5th wheel, so I can document different RV parks as we stay in them.  I’d like to jot down notes about the place, highlights of the trip and maybe add a few photos.  I had this notebook with the teal edge and teal elastic band in my stash (purchased at Target quite some time ago) and it seemed to fit the bill just perfectly.  I had so much fun decorating it with the Airstream Trailer image from Happy Trails which I colored with copics (R46, Y35, C1, BG11, BG34, BG49 B97) to coordinate with the October Afternoon 9 to 5 plaid background paper.  The strip on the right in from the Simple Stories Summer Fresh 6×6 collection.  I wanted to keep this pretty simple and flat so I added interest with TE Scallop Border dies (medium and large), plus I added a ribbon, button and the tag created with the Mini Tag die set and a sentiment from the stamp set.  I can hardly wait to go on another RV trip and use my new journal!
Now let’s see what the Baker’s Dozen has cooked up!
Thanks for stopping by.  Be sure to check out the Current Specials page in the TE store while you’re there! I hope you have a great day!
