More is More

Happy Wednesday!  I’m back with Day 2 of the Taylored Expressions August Sneak Peeks.  Everything will be revealed on the TE Facebook page tonight at 6pm PST during the Preview Party (stop by for lots of chances to win a prize) and then everything will be available for purchase tomorrow morning at 8:00 am PST in the Fresh Out of the Oven Department.

Today we are featuring all the new Taylored Dies in our samples.  The die set I used is called the Notepaper and Clipboard Taylored Die Set.  It was designed to coordinate with the 2 new A la Carte stamps: Grid Paper (used on my project) and Notepaper and of course you can use it on it’s own as well.  The first die cuts an ATC sized piece of notepaper and the second die cuts the clippy part of a clipboard.

For my project I stamped the Grid Paper A la carte in light blue ink and die cut it with the Notepaper die.  Then I mounted it on a piece of kraft cardstock with the corners rounded to be the base of my little clipboard.  I die cut the clippy from gray cardstock and adhered it with a foam dot for dimension.

I used Jen’s August Sketch For You to Try for the layout featuring papers from the Simple Stories Summer Fresh 6×6 collection.  The sweet images are from the new stamp set Doodle Notes.  I know you are going to adore this set concepted by our own Jen Shults and illustrated by Nancy McKinney for the Whimsical Wishes line of TE stamps.  I stamped the images over the grid background and did a little copic coloring.  I also added Sparkly Fluff to the cloud.  The heart was stamped on a scrap and cut out and adhered with a foam dot.  This card makes me smile and I hope it makes you smile too!
