Today we are showing off samples of four new stamp sets – Love Grows Here, Life is a Dance, Moka Morgana and Moka Katie.  I have 2 cards to share today.

My first card features Love Grows Here.  This set kicks off a brand new collection called Embracing Grace by new illustrator Emily Burger.  I’m head over heels in love with this stamp set and really looking forward to what Emily will create in the future as well.

Love Grows Here is a full-sized set (5.75″ x 8.5″ full-color storage panel) that includes 18 images for $21.95.

This set features 7 different ADORABLE tree vignettes that are just the perfect size to be the focal point of a card.  I used October Afternoon Sidewalks 8×8 papers here.  I had been dying to get my hands on that paper, so I was super happy when I saw how well it worked with Love Grows Here.  The flowers are older Primas from my stash and see those cute leaves? Those were cut with the new Mini Leaves Taylored Dies set.  It even has embossed veins.  I know I’m going to be using those dies A LOT!  The tree image was colored with Copics and, although it doesn’t show up in the photo very well, the leaves were covered with Kiwi Smooch – so they are very shiny!

The layout for this card is Sweet Sunday Sketch 132.  Funny thing about that – when I sat down to create, I printed out several sketches to get me going. When I saw Karen’s sketch for this week I knew it would be perfect for this little tree and I saved it to my computer.  I went back a little later and printed it out (or thought I did) with some of Taylor’s older sketches.  After my card was finished, I looked at Karen’s current sketch again and something seemed off.  Ummm…yeah…I printed out the wrong sketch!  The SSSC for this week is #141 and I printed out #132 which I had apparantly also saved to my computer at some point, but never used.  OOPS! Oh well, they’re both great sketches!

My second card features Moka Morgana  (Petite set of 5 images) with a sentiment from Life is a Dance (Mini set -4.75″ square storage panel – 9 images) .  Both of these sets were illustrated by Nancy McKinney and I know she must be especially excited this month as Morgana was inspired by Nancy’s daughter and one of the first Moka girls she designed.  I think a lot of you will love Morgana, because honestly who hasn’t dreamed of being a ballerina at some point in her life?

I just love this sentiment – Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning to dance in the rain.  I heat embossed it directly onto the patterned paper with black craft ink and clear embossing powder.  The papers I used are from the Echo Park Times & Seasons 6×6 pad.  The layout is TESC96.  I love being able to easily go back through all of Taylor’s old sketches to find just the right layout for an image I want to work with.  You can download her sketchbook from the sidebar of her blog.
